Terms and Conditions
Vodacom is the provider of the Vlive platform (“Vlive”), in its various formats accessible via mobile and desktop/laptop devices. Vlive is a platform that hosts various content services that can be accessed individually by customers based on what a customer chooses to subscribe to on Vlive (“Service(s)”). The terms of this agreement (“Terms and Conditions”) govern the relationship between you and Vodacom and its affiliates (hereinafter “Vlive” or “Us” or “We”) regarding your use of Vlive and related Services. Use of Vlive is also governed by the Privacy Policy which is incorporated herein by reference.
1. Your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
- 1.1 Please read these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy carefully before using Vlive. By using Vlive, you agree to these Terms.
- 1.2 We may modify these Terms by updating them on the Vlive website. Continued use of Vlive constitutes acceptance.
- 1.3 Vlive uses YouTube APIs and is subject to YouTube's Terms and Google’s Privacy Policy.
2. Access to Vlive
- 2.1 Free browsing for Vodacom subscribers (zero-rated), available only in South Africa.
- 2.2 Access Vlive at https://live.vodacom.co.za/za.
- 2.3 Only Vodacom users can register and subscribe to services. Registration is per Service and requires a mobile number.
- 2.4 Consent is given to receive messages related to your Service interactions.
- 2.5 Use must be personal, non-commercial, and in accordance with these Terms.
- 2.6 Use beyond granted rights is prohibited.
- 2.7 We may suspend or discontinue Vlive features without liability.
- 2.8 Vlive availability may be affected by maintenance or technical issues.
- 2.9 Vlive is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted access or error-free service.
- 2.10 Third parties may assist in Vlive provision.
- 2.11 Terms apply to all users, including contributors and those interacting with third-party content or ads.
- 2.12 Use must comply with laws and not harm others or the platform.
- 2.13 Do not access materials via means not provided by Vlive.
3. Fees and Payment Terms
- 3.1 Services may be paid for on a once-off or subscription basis.
- 3.2 Charges may vary and changes will be communicated.
- 3.3 Payments may be made via Vodacom billing. No refunds for partial usage.
- 3.4 Fees will be disclosed before subscription.
- 3.5 Video playback quality may vary. Internet charges are your responsibility.
4. Limitation of Liability
- 4.1 Use Vlive at your own risk. We disclaim all warranties.
- 4.2 We are not liable for special or consequential damages.
- 4.3 You indemnify Vodacom against losses arising from misuse or violation of Terms.
5. Privacy and Data Protection
We collect your MSISDN, name and preferences. This data is shared with Mondia Media and subject to Vodacom’s Privacy Policy.
6. List of Services
- 6.1 Video on Demand: Weekly subscription for unlimited video content per channel.
- 6.2 Chat Service: Subscription-based chat access. Micro-billing applies when funds are insufficient.
- 6.3 His best/Her best: Access to Men's/Women’s Health articles.
- 6.4 Planet Video: Daily subscription for access to 20 video channels.
- 6.5 Kaboodle: Subscription for kids’ videos and games.
7. Competitions
7.1 Kaboodle Competition
- 7.1.1 Runs from 04 Agust - 31 October 2025.
- 7.1.2 Prize: R10 000 Cash Prize.
- 7.1.3 Must subscribe and remain subscribed to Kaboodle.
- 7.1.4 Open to South African residents aged 18+.
- 7.1.5 Winner selected randomly and notified within 7 working days.
- 7.1.6 Further eligibility and communication details apply.
- 7.1.20 Prizes not transferable or redeemable for cash.
- 7.1.24 Winner info may be shared with Mondia for prize fulfillment.
- 7.1.30 Vodacom’s decision is final in all competition matters.
7.2 C2 General
- 7.2.1 Vodacom not responsible for lost/misdirected entries due to technical issues.
- 7.2.2) Employees, directors, agents, contractors, consultants of Vodacom and all other participating companies and their immediate families, life partners, business partners and associates and any person directly involved with the devising, producing, managing or marketing this Competition are not eligible to participate and win in this Competition.
- 7.2.3) If Vodacom is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Competition or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Competition being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against Vodacom and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsors.
- 7.2.4) All information relating to the Competition which is published on any marketing material will form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between such marketing material and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
8.) How to opt-out 8.1) If you want to opt out of Services on Vlive, use the Vlive menu to navigate to your profile to manage your active subscriptions settings. Alternatively you can dial ⚹135⚹997# to manage all your content services. 8.2) Please note you may not opt out of system messages sent to the customer when subscribing, cancelling the Vlive or receiving renewal notifications of their next billing cycle
